  • 50 participants

  • 17 speakers

  • 6 practical sessions

Location

  • Istituto Scientifico Romagnolo per lo studio e cura dei tumori – IRST Meldola (FC)

Date

  • From 14 to 17 May 2019

  • Spartaco Santi

  • Marco Dal Maschio

  • Anna Tesei

  • Marco Canossa

The 4th edition of the Scuola di Microscopia is focused on the optical limitations related to the analysis of thick samples with high 3D information. During the practical sessions, different optical systems such as light-sheet microscopy, super resolution techniques, lenses with long working distance and millifluidic-based devices combined with advanced methods of image analysis will be used. We have seen how these different methods can maximize light penetration through complex samples such as spheroids, organoids, tissues and Zebrafish, which represent a new frontier in the entire biomedical research with a major focus on tumor studies.

Who it’s for

The Scuola di Microscopia is aimed at researchers, students and technicians who are interested in acquiring the basic elements necessary to carry out Deep Imaging analyses on 3D cellular models, and to acquire informative and high-quality images suitable for the biomedical field.
