The online course entitled “Focus on the Invisible: Microscopy School – Basic Level and Advanced Level” is a Fondazione Golinelli and G-LAB project.
Awarded in 1st place in the area group three Life Sciences and Green Technologies, EIT Deep Tech Talent Training Prize 2023 – TARGETED TRAINING
The main objectives of the course are:
- provide the tools to understand how microscopes work, from the study of the fundamental laws governing optics, to the essential concepts for the most advanced technologies
- develop skills related to the most advanced microscopic techniques present in research laboratories
- acquire theoretical and operational skills regarding digital imaging technique
Each module provides a video presentation and a self-assessment questionnaire. In some cases, experimental tutorials and practical exercises will be included. The course is held by scientific speakers and experts coming from the most important Universities, Research Institutes and technology companies.The 2023 e-Learning project was produced thanks to the technical support from Nikon Europe BV, EVIDENT Europe GmbH and EVIDENT Global Academy, and with the patronage of the Department of Medical and Surgical Science (DIMEC), University of Bologna.
The course is aimed at researchers, laboratory technicians, facility staff members, health personnel, university and phD students.
